Mindlogic, a tech startup co-founded by two former McKinsey consultants, is carving out a distinct position in the crowded artificial intelligence (AI) market with smart AI-powered chatbot services for both consumers and enterprises.
Founded in 2019, the company leverages generative AI to deliver tailored chatbot services, including Persona, a celebrity-trained chatbot for personalized user interaction, and Informe, a multilingual information agent for universities and public institutions, as well as FactChat, a multi-large language model platform.
“In 2018, it started to become clear that AI technology was beginning to find practical, real-world uses … We realized that an AI capable of holding conversations like a human would soon be possible,” Mindlogic co-CEO Kim Yong-woo said during a recent interview with The Korea Times, at the company’s office in southern Seoul.
“Our goal has been to build AI that brings people not just enjoyment, but real help; something that people genuinely want to interact with and that becomes a real companion in conversation.”
The company’s flagship Persona chatbot replicates the conversational nuance of public figures and well-known personalities. It has partnered with SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo-man to roll out a fandom platform, Blooming Talk, using the technology.
CEOs Kim Yong-woo and Kim Jin-wook explained that the globally serviced platform offers personalized interactions with AI in addition to communications from the actual artists, allowing for deeper levels of engagement as artists can review conversations between AI and fans.
“An AI-powered fan solves key challenges, like artists not being able to have one-on-one conversations or send personal messages whenever fans want,” Kim Yong-woo said. “We see this platform as enabling the next level of connection between fans and artists, by helping artists truly understand and remember their fans better.”

Kim Jin-wook emphasized that the most distinguishing feature is the chatbot’s human-like memory, a technology the company has been dedicated to enhancing. The memory function enables lasting emotional engagement and true hyper-personalization.
As of 2025, Mindlogic has raised over $12 million in funding — a notable achievement as competition in conversational AI intensifies.
What sets Mindlogic apart is its focus on both the business-to-consumer and business-to-business (B2B) markets. In the B2B sphere, they supply virtual assistant solutions, FactChat and Informe, for local universities, offering a cost-efficient yet reliable service with its proprietary hallucination suppression algorithms. Informe, a multilingual guide chatbot for websites, currently offers 93 languages, with 30 for phone call support.
“These days, AI models are constantly leapfrogging each other in performance, but our platform (FactChat) lets users access multiple models as well as keep and reuse their custom chatbots and stored data, all within one system,” Kim Yong-woo said, adding it lessens the financial burden of subscribing with individual rates for enterprise clients with an enormous number of users.
“Organizations can [create and] provide their own chatbot only to their members, who can then share and use custom bots internally. That’s a core advantage of our product.”
Looking ahead, Mindlogic aims to pioneer the next era of conversational AI, where the lines between human and machine communication become virtually indistinguishable. The CEOs shared that they are committed to ensuring that their technologies will not only facilitate seamless dialogue by embedding advanced memory and emotional intelligence capabilities but will also be used for positive and meaningful social impact.
