E-commerce teams today juggle thousands of product listings across markets and platforms, often using messy spreadsheets and outdated tools. As AI agents increasingly influence how products are found and purchased online, poor product data management can lead to lost sales and lower visibility. Italian CommerceClarity was created to solve this problem.
“CommerceClarity was born to fix a broken process that the founding team experienced firsthand as e-commerce operators. As the complexity of product data keeps growing and AI agents begin influencing what people buy, e-commerce needs intelligent infrastructure to remain visible, discoverable, and competitive,” said Federico Sargenti, co-founder and Co-CEO of CommerceClarity.
Today, this Italian startup has raised €2.7 million in pre-seed funding to help retailers manage product data more efficiently. The round was led by IFF (Koinos Capital) and Entourage, with participation from Redstone and Euregio+ (Alpine VC), Vento, Ithaca Investment, and Vesper Holding.
Founded in 2024 by Federico Sargenti, Daniele Vella, Michele Sampieri, and Alessandro Angelini, all seasoned entrepreneurs and operators with experience leading companies like Amazon, Everli, and Bain & Company, CommerceClarity is building a composable AI operating system for e-commerce, powered by a network of specialised AI agents.
Sargenti told TFN, “We are ecommerce operators (with experience in Amazon, Everli) and we
experienced firsthand the operational pain of scaling large e-commerce businesses in their previous companies and saw that, with the recent advances in AI, those long-standing inefficiencies could finally be solved.”
The platform automates catalogue operations such as data ingestion, cleaning, validation, and optimisation, transforming unstructured product data into structured, AI-readable, and performance-optimised content for every market and channel. This helps retailers scale faster, cut costs, and stay competitive in the AI era. Its software helps retailers reduce operational costs by up to 90%, boost sales and traffic by 30%, and shorten time-to-market from weeks to hours.
Sargenti elaborates, “CommerceClarity is a composable AI operating system for e-commerce, built around a network of specialised agents orchestrated by a central intelligence layer. This architecture enables scalable, explainable automation across the full commerce stack and integrates natively with clients’ internal systems.”
Speaking about competition, Sargenti told us, “It’s a new space, notable competitors (new entrants) include Anglera.com and Emfas.ai. CommerceClarity stands out for its deep integration, modular agent-based design, and orchestration flexibility across multiple e-commerce functions.”
In just one year, CommerceClarity has already attracted over 40 clients, including Nestlé Purina, Arcaplanet, Cisalfa, 1000Farmacie, and Caddy’s.
The fresh capital will support the company’s international expansion with new offices in Milan, Rome, and London and strengthen its mission to build the infrastructure for what it calls “the agentic future of commerce.”
Sargenti concludes, “The company’s focus is international expansion across English-speaking markets, building the most extensible AI infrastructure for commerce operators and strengthening its position as the go-to automation layer for modern e-commerce.”
“CommerceClarity has the potential to redefine how digital commerce operates globally. It’s building the infrastructure for the agentic future commerce where the next generation of winners will be those bold enough to adopt technology at this level,” said Irene Mingozzi, Partner at IFF.
“Agentic systems are transforming e-commerce operations. CommerceClarity is one of the first companies to truly operationalise this shift, bringing measurable efficiency and visibility to online retailers,” added Pieterjan Bouten, Partner at Entourage.
