A new Smart Chatbot will let citizens access government services from home by simply sending a WhatsApp message.
Bilaspur is set to become the first municipal corporation in the state where citizens will be able to access most services from the comfort of their homes through a smart chatbot. Taking a major step towards Digital India, the Bilaspur Municipal Corporation is launching a WhatsApp-based chatbot service. Through this service, people will be able to access services such as property tax information and payment, building permits, complaint registration, and birth and death certificates within minutes.
How the Smart Chatbot Works
Using this chatbot will be extremely easy. The corporation will issue a dedicated WhatsApp number: 91 88157 82574. After saving the number, simply send a message with a handshake or Namaste. An automated reply will be sent, listing various services. Citizens will be able to select the option according to their needs and complete the process. This chatbot will operate using AI and meta-based technologies. The corporation will also promote its information on its website and social media so that more people can benefit from it.
