OpenAI announced parental controls for its ChatGPT tool a few weeks ago amid concerns about the dangers of youth using artificial intelligence technology, including cases of teens dying by suicide.
ChatGPT is a generative AI chatbot that allows users to have conversations with it.
OpenAI said on its website in late September that it created parental controls in order to make the platform safer and more “age-appropriate.”
