(LILAMAX)- OpenAI is reportedly changing how it plans to launch the next version of ChatGPT.
According to The Information, the company will initially make ChatGPT 5.6 available only to government-approved customers before expanding access more broadly. The staggered rollout comes after President Donald Trump signed an executive order earlier this month encouraging artificial intelligence companies to participate in a voluntary federal review of their most advanced AI models before public release.
Meanwhile, AI technology is also advancing in robotics.
RealSense has introduced a new camera designed for computer vision, humanoid robots and autonomous machines. The company says the camera delivers up to five times better depth quality than its predecessor and 2.5 times better close-range performance than competing systems, helping robots navigate more safely and accurately.
YouTube is also rolling out new features for Shorts.
The platform now allows users to double the playback speed of short-form videos, making it easier to quickly consume content or jump to favorite moments. YouTube says the feature is intended to help viewers absorb information faster while watching Shorts.
A new report is also raising questions about political bias in artificial intelligence chatbots.
An analysis by The Washington Post found several leading AI chatbots often produced responses that aligned more closely with left-leaning viewpoints on a range of political issues. The report examined chatbot responses on 29 topics, including diversity initiatives, campaign finance and policing, and found OpenAI’s GPT-5.5 presented predominantly left-leaning arguments while offering right-leaning perspectives far less frequently.
The findings are likely to add to the ongoing debate over how AI systems should be trained and whether developers can create models that remain politically neutral.
