OpenAI indefinitely postponed the launch of the chatbot with erotic features. The decision was made after criticism from employees and investors who fear the impact such a product could have on users and the company’s reputation.

About 10% of the analyzed chats contained discussions of emotions, and users addressed the AI with romantic phrases such as: “I love you,” or used nicknames (“babe,” “Nova”). The chatbot adapted its responses, using cute emojis and imagery.
