As reported by Tesla’s Europe account on X
Tesla expands the capabilities of its electric vehicles in Europe by introducing the artificial intelligence-powered chat bot Grok. Initially, the service will operate in nine countries across the continent.
The launch was announced by Tesla’s official Europe account on the social network X, with reference to confirmation from the company.
Official representatives of Tesla Europe, Middle East & Africa confirmed that Grok will initially be available in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Portugal and Spain, after which expansion to other markets is expected.
Grok answers driver queries in real time, using data from the vehicle and online sources. The assistant can also trigger navigation commands, helping to find destinations, points of interest, and adjust routes without touching the touchscreen.
The feature is activated via the App Launcher or by pressing and holding the microphone button on the steering wheel.
Currently, Grok is available on Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y and Cybertruck models that are equipped with the AMD infotainment processor.
Tesla also notes that Grok expands voice control capabilities and information services, and at the moment does not require an account or subscription to activate.
According to Ukrinform, earlier this year Grok faced negative reactions from governments of various countries due to cases of creating sexualized images using AI without the consent of individuals. In response, the company canceled the ability to create images for most users on the X platform.
It was also reported that the European Commission has launched an official investigation into Grok under the Digital Services Act (DSA).
At the same time, it is noted that despite the criticism, Grok remains one of the most popular systems in the United States, and its market share is growing.
